I'm happy because...

- I didn't have to wear a coat to work today.
- I have a busy and fun weekend planned.
- I'm seeing a good friend for dinner tomorrow night.
- I'm planning on making some bomb mac & cheese tonight.
- My boyfriend has agreed to teach me his poker tricks so we kick his co-workers' butts on Friday.

I had been talking to a co-worker in our DC office about how much I love gummy coke bottles, but how sad I was because my local CVS doesn't sell them anymore.  Lo and behold, I receive a bag of them this morning from that same (fabulous) co-worker!  Thanks, H!

Black & blue

In college, I was in an a cappella group called "The Bluestockings".  We always wore all black for our concerts, which always made me, a lover of color, sad.  I think this would have been the perfect dress to perform in:

Dollar store band-aids

I've learned a few things in my 23-year-long life, and one of those things is this: Don't buy generic band-aids from a dollar store.  Splurge on the name brand -- it's worth it.

West vs. East

I recently moved to Massachusetts from California, and I miss it every so often (especially with an impending snow storm).  But this video by Jesse Rosten makes me want to move back to the sunny West Coast immediately.
